Almost two years after rolling out a Twitter DM search bar on iOS, Twitter has announced it’s bringing the feature to Android as well.
Back in August 2019, Twitter DM search bar feature that brought the ability to search for recent direct messages on iOS and the web.
Later that year, the feature was made available to all users on iOS. Now, almost two years after the first test, Twitter’s Android app is finally getting its own DM search bar as well.
We’ve brought the DM search bar to Android and are rolling out an improved version that lets you search for all of your old convos, not just the most recent ones.

This is all great news for users, as it makes Twitter’s messaging feature a lot more useful. Conducting long conversations in DMs and not being able to search through them has been a bit of a problem, for sure.
