Facebook Analytics tool will retire on June 30, the company announced in a Business Help Center post today.
On June 30, Facebook Analytics will go away for good. But don’t worry, Facebook already offers several alternatives to understand and evaluate your performance on its platform.
The announcement was made via s simple Business Help Center post: you have until June 30 to access reports, explore insights, and export charts and tables via Facebook Analytics. To export data into a CSV file from Facebook Analytics on your desktop, click the arrow
in the top-right corner of each chart or table.
While the news could seem frightening to many marketers, Facebook Analytics has been losing momentum for quite some while.
Instead, the company is inviting you to use its other tools to help you understand your advertising, presences, and activities on Facebook and Instagram, including:
- Facebook Business Suite allows you to manage your Facebook and Instagram business accounts and can show you detailed insights about your audience, content, and trends. (This tool may not be available to you yet.)
- Ads Manager lets you view, make changes and see results for all your Facebook campaigns, ad sets, and ads.
- Events Manager can help you set up and manage Facebook Business Tools like the Facebook pixel and Conversions API, and reports actions taken on your website, in your app, and in your physical store.
But now, you won’t have this “all-in-one” reporting. Unless you are already using a third-party tool for this. Hint: you should.
